Brittany Shumaker Broker
As a Lake Gaston (LKG) native I grew up loving the water, boating, and soaking up the sun. During summer breaks I worked at an interior design shop helping put together design boards and staging homes. This background experience lead me to my current career as a real estate broker.
Before attaining my broker license, I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at North Carolina State University. I was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and sat as philanthropy chair which focused on breast cancer education and awareness. During my college internship I assisting local firms with start to finish interior design services for new homes. I quickly realized that I had a passion for more than just design but also helping people accomplish their home dreams. I love to put my design background to work when listing a home or helping a buyer envision their new one. Being able to take on that very personal part of the home buying and selling process allows me to better connect with my clients.
I live in Wake Forest with my husband, two children, and fur pup. I spend my free time visiting LKG, playing tennis, planting flowers and trying to soak in all the family time I can! I also enjoy volunteering for the Me Fine Foundation gala committee which benefits critically-ill children in the Triangle area.
Family is such an important part of my life and, because of that, I firmly believe that home is where your heart is. Being able to help my clients through the process of buying and selling one of their largest investments is extremely rewarding. I am so honored and thankful to have spent the last nine years helping my clients.
